Southern 72, Western University (Canada) 66

Southern finished with four in double figures Thursday night in the NCAA/OUA Tip-Off Classic defeating Western University 72-66 in London, Ontario.  The win from Alumni Hall makes Southern 2-0 in the classic.
The game format is different from what The Jaguars are accustomed to.  Instead of a pair of 20 minute halfs, the teams are playing four 10 minute periods.  The game was notched at 47 with 1:28 left in the 3rd period.  Tre'lun Banks broke open the tie making each of his two free throws and The Jaguars would never trail again.

Bryce Clark led all scorers with 17 points meanwhile Javan Mitchell chipped in 15 followed by Calvin Godfrey who scored 11 points and pulled down right rebounds.  Banks also added 10 points for SUBR.

Southern takes one Fanshawe College Friday which will wrap up its play from Canada.
