SWAC Athletes Conclude NCAA T & F Championship

EUGENE, Ore. – A pair of Southwestern Athletic Conference champions concluded action at the 2013 NCAA Track & Field Championships Saturday at Hayward Field with one earning All-America honors. A total of three athletes from the conference competed in the four-day event.
Saturday, Anaso Jobodwana (Jackson State) finished fourth in the 200m dash with a time of 20.29. Two days prior, during the preliminaries, he ran the second fastest time at 20.02. Jobodwana earned a first team All-America nod with his performance in the 200m on Saturday.
Preston Woodard (Prairie View A&M) placed 20th in the triple jump on the last day of action. Woodard is a three-time conference champion in the event. Akeem Williams (Grambling State) also ran in the 200m prelims Thursday but did not qualify missing the cut by two places.
