After guiding the Prairie View A&M University Lady Panthers to their third-consecutive SWAC Tournament Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance, coach Toyelle Wilson has been selected as one of 30 coaches across the nation to participate in the Center For Coaching Excellence by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA). The three-day program will be held from June 10 through June 12 at Columbia University in New York City.

The Center for Coaching Excellence (CCE) is an elite program for select basketball coaches, developed by Columbia University Athletics in partnership with The WBCA. It is designed to provide college women's basketball coaches with the professional skills and personal ethics training necessary to be exceptional leaders.

“It's a great honor to be selected to such a prestigious program,” Wilson said. “I'm excited to learn more about leadership and improving myself and my coaches in the process. The Center For Coaching Excellence will help our program tremendously. The sessions teach you to build your coaching skills through ethics and leadership training.”

Capitalizing on the resources of Columbia University, one of the world's leading research universities, and the WBCA, the CCE provides an exclusive learning experience for college women's basketball coaches. Utilizing collaborative and interactive learning sessions and panel discussions featuring experts in college athletics and women's basketball, the CCE provides college women's basketball coaches with valuable networking opportunities with their peers and top industry leaders.
