ALEXANDRIA, LA - Alabama State swept Jackson State, while Arkansas-Pine Bluff beat Alabama A&M to advance to the semifinals. ASU blanked JSU 4-0, while UAPB got past A&M 4-2. Alabama State will take on the No. 1 seed and defending champion Alcorn State at City Park, while UAPB will face No. 2 seed Prairie View at the Aquatic Club. Both matches are scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

With JSU shorthanded, it didn't take long for the Hornets to settle the match. Alabama State needed only one win to claim the doubles point. Stefan Vojnic and Rodderick Ivory took care of that with an 8-3 win over Carlos Martinez and Marko Milosavlsevic. Then in singles, Bobby Brand defeated Navaneetha Baskaran 6-1, 6-4 at No. 1 and Jonathan Freeman defeated Phillip Barnes 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5. That, combined with a default at No. 6 ended the match.

UAPB took the doubles points with victories at No. 2 and 3. Hugo Gomez and Eduardo Luque defeated Nicholas Burger and Andres Veliz 8-3 and Jorge Villicus and Nicholas Plaza defeated Evan Brown and Will Law 8-3. A&M battled back to even the match when Veliz and Burger won at No. 2 and 4 singles. But, Plaza defeated Brown 6-1, 6-0 and Villicus defeated Law 6-1, 6-0 to ice the match.
