Cooper-Dyke Back in the SWAC at Texas Southern

Texas Southern athletics officials announced Thursday that new head women's basketball coach, Cynthia Cooper-Dyke, will be formally introduced at a 3:30 p.m. press conference on campus Friday.
Cooper-Dyke returns to the Southwestern Athletic Conference sidelines after a two-year stint as the head coach at UNC-Wilmington. She led the Seahawks to back-to-back WNIT berths in her two seasons at UNC-W.
SWAC fans will remember Cooper-Dyke as the head coach at Prairie View A&M from 2005-10. She led the Panthers to three straight regular season conference titles in 2006-07, 2007-08, and 2008-09. PV won the conference tournament title twice in 2007 and 2009 as well.
