Valley Runners Earn Athletes of the Week

Mississippi Valley State athletes Alicia Wimley and
David White have nabbed the Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the
Week for week three following their participation at the Ole' Miss Invitational last week in
Oxford, MS.
Alicia Wimley earns Runner of the Week after
competing in four events at the 22-team meet, earning two top-ten finishes. Wimley earned
fifth place with her mark of 38-02 in the triple jump, and crossed the finish in seventh place in
the 4x100 relay with a time of 46.75. The sophomore rounded out the invitational competing
in the 100m and 200m, with times of 12.23 and 25.21, respectively.
For the men, sophomore David White has earned
Runner of the Week. White competed in three events at the Ole' Miss Invitational, also earning
two top-ten finishes, including ninth place in the 4x100 (41.83) and tenth in the 200m (21.66).
He also ran the 100m, completing the event with a time of 10.90.
