Mississippi Valley State (17-12, 14-4) 65, Arkansas-Pine Bluff (1-28, 1-17) 47
PINE BLUFF - Mississippi Valley State ended the regular season Thursday night with a convincing win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff, sewing up the SWAC regular season crown outright. MVSU, who had already locked up the No. 1 seed in next week's SWAC Tournament, will face either Texas Southern or Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Wednesday, March 7, in Garland, Texas at the Special Events Center. It marks the Devilettes' first regular season title since the 1987-88 season. Lenise Stallings led Valley with 17 points, while De'Kisha Fondon and Brittney Lakes chipped in 11 points each. No UAPB players scored in double-figures. Jenise Gentry led the Golden Lions with nine points.

Alabama A&M (17-10, 12-5) 65, Jackson State (11-15, 8-9) 43
HUNTSVILLE - Alabama A&M assures itself no worse than a No. 3 seed in the SWAC tournament by rolling past Jackson State. If the Lady Bulldogs knock off Grambling or Southern loses to Texas Southern on the final night of the regular season, A&M will finish in the No. 2 spot. Three-time reigning SWAC Player of the Week Whiquitta continued to torch opponents, scoring 25 points, grabbing five rebounds and kicking out three assists. Tobar was 9-for-16 from the field, including 3-for-6 from 3-point range. She was also 4-for-4 from the freethrow line. Jasmine Sanders added 14 points and nine rebounds. Tiffany Kellum had 11 points and six rebounds to pace Jackson State.

Alabama State (13-13, 10-7) 55, Grambling (13-14, 9-8) 48
MONTGOMERY - Millicent Jones had 14 points and Danielle Gazaway chipped in with 13 as Alabama State knocked off Grambling State. The win was the Lady Hornets' seventh win in their last 10 games. ASU led the entire way, jumping out to 14-4 lead in the first half and building as much as a 12-point lead on two occasions. ASU did not shoot the ball extremely well only hitting 35 percent of their shots, and they turned the ball over too many times with 21, but their defense was extremely stingy against the Lady Tigers holding them to only 28 percent shooting from the field. Grambling was able to make a run late in the game when they cut an ASU 46-36 lead with 5:41 left in the game down to 46-40 with just 4:25 left.  The Lady Hornets did not flinch as Quentori Alford and Kierra Paige scored and pushed the lead back out to 10 points. Quentori Alford added a game-high 17 rebounds to go with her nine points. Tonishea Mack led GSU with 12 points and 10 rebounds.  Savannah Carter scored 10 points.

Alcorn State (11-16, 9-8) 52, Texas Southern (4-24, 2-15) 31
LORMAN - Alcorn State held Texas Southern to only 25% from the field en route to a blowout of Texas Southern. The Lady Tigers only hit 12-of-48 fieldgoals and missing all five of their 3-point attempts. sharnika Breelove led Alcorn State with 12 points and seven rebounds, while Carolsinia Crumbly finished with 10. Janelle McQueen led TSU with eight points.

Prairie View (13-15, 10-7) 73, Southern (12-12, 11-6) 53
BATON ROUGE - Four players, including one with a double-double, scored in double-figure as Prairie View whipped Southern. Kiara Williams led the way with 22 points, while Jeannette Jackson and Larissa Scott each tallied 11. Scott also had 10 rebounds to complete the double-double. Latia Williams rounded out the PVAM high scorers with 10 points and nine rebounds. Kendra Coleman paced Southern with 11 points.
