Runner of the Week
Hornet runner Vincent Butler has earned SWAC Runner of the Week for week two. Butler had a solid weekend at the Birmingham Invitational, finishing second in the 400m dash with a time of 48.33. The Alabama State senior also ran the first leg of ASU's 4x400m relay, helping lead the Hornets to a fifth place finish with a time of 3:22.45.
Field Athlete of the Week
Arkansas-Pine Bluff athlete Terron Armstead earns SWAC Field Athlete of the Week after a solid performance at the Arkansas State Invitational. Armstead threw a distance of 57-05.75 in the shot put, finishing first in the event.
