Soccer Player of the Week Honors Announced

The Southwestern Athletic Conference announced its soccer Players of the Week on Wednesday
Offensive - Iita Pienimaki (Alabama State) - MF - 5-11 - FR - Jyvaskyia, Finland Pienimaki had the assist that led to the match-winning goal in the win over Huntingdon College. It was the first assist of her collegiate career.
Defensive - Melissa Douglas (Alabama State) - D - 5-11 - SO - Petit, Trinidad Dougla was a major reason the Lady Hornets were able to shutout Huntingdon College in ASU's 2-0 win. She plays in the middle on the back row which limited Huntingdon to seven shots, only three of those on goal.
Goalkeeper - Bianca Garza (Prairie View) - GK - 5-6 - FR - Nederland, TX Garza recorded a combined 18 saves in two games this past week, 10 versus Louisiana-Monroe.
