SWAC SOFTBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Shannon Colquitt, Texas Southern; 5-4, FR; Compton, CA
Colquitt was 7-for-10 (.700) last week with five runs scored, six RBI's and three homers as the Lady Tigers posted four wins.
In her best game of the week, Colquitt went 3-for-3 scoring two runs while nabbing six RBI's and two home runs in a 6-3 win over Grambling State.
PITCHER
Lanaya Jenkins, Southern; 5-5, SR; Seattle, WA
Jenkins scored two wins for the Jaguars last week, spending 12 innings on the mound and allowing only nine hits and two runs.
Jenkins also struck out seven batters in the two conference wins while boasting a 1.17 ERA.
