LaKitha Murray is in her first season as the Director of Championships at the SWAC. She was promoted to her current position July 2011 and previously served as the Sports Management Administrator.

Murray was previously anadministrative assistant for UAB. She was a four-year letter winner on the Blazers women's basketball team from 2004-08.

The Tuscaloosa, Ala. native accumulated more than 400 points and over 300 rebounds over four seasons, while also serving as one of UAB's key defensive players.

Following her playing days,Murray served as a student assistant with the program during the 2008-09 campaign.

Murray graduated from UAB in May 2008 with a Bachelor's degree in communication management.
