Texas A&M Invitational (Sept. 24, College Station, Texas) | Live Stats
Prairie View A&M
Texas Southern

News and Notes:

- This week's slate is a light one for the Southwestern Athletic Conference, as eight teams are scheduled to be idle. Only Prairie View A&M and Texas Southern are set to run this week, and will do so against some of the best in the nation when they head to College Station, Texas for the Texas A&M Invitational.

Texas Southern’s Xavier Martinez and Prairie View A&M’s JoAnna Benavidez took home Southwestern Athletic Conference runner of the week honors after their performances in competition from Sept. 16-17. Both were their respective teams' top finishers at the Texas Invitational.

- Grambling State freshman Aaron Koech has continued his strong start to the season, as he finished second overall at Louisiana Tech's Mook Triple Duals meet. He and sophomore teammate Hassan Chepkwony -- who similarly took the league by storm in his maiden college season -- have yet to finish outside of the top 5 this season in the Tigers' cross country competitions.

- Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Alcorn State, Grambling State, Jackson State, Mississippi Valley State, Southern and Arkansas-Pine Bluff are all scheduled to be idle this week.
