Jasher serves as the league's Director of Comunications. He is the primary contact for football, men's basketball, and golf.
The Auburn University graduate assisted in the launching of the SWAC Digital Network, which is the league's official source for live audio and video streaming. The network provides live webcast for basketball, football, soccer, volleyball along with the annual SWAC Football Media Day.
Cox brings with him over 16 years of experience in the media field. In 1998, he worked as a columnist for Inside the Auburn Tigers Magazine. One year later, his career in radio began to take off as he became the co-host of a sports radio talk show labeled Sports Call. Cox was responsible for covering Southeastern Conference athletics as well as the local sports in the Auburn area until 2005.
While in radio, he became the voice of Auburn University Softball and Volleyball along with obtaining the same duties for Auburn High School Athletics assuming the play-by-play role for AHS basketball and football. During the spring of 2005, Cox would later pursue a career in television as a photojournalist with CBS 8 WAKA.
He joined the SWAC in 2012 as the Media Specialist after spending time at Alabama State University. He served in three different roles while at ASU. In 2009, he was the university’s Interim-Coordinator of Marketing and Communications. During the summer of 2010, he made the transition to athletics serving as the department’s Media Specialist. His most recent role with the Hornets was in administration as the Training Specialist.
Cox is currently a member of the Central Alabama Basketball Officials Association.
