ITTA BENA, Miss. - Jackson State University kept rolling, moving its win streak to 17 matches with a 3-0 win over Mississippi Valley State on Tuesday at the HPER Complex.
In Southwestern Athletic Conference eastern division play, JSU (19-11, 7-0) racked up 18 blocks picking up the sets with scores of 25-19, 25-18, and 25-23.
Christine Edwards recorded her eighth double-double of the season finishing the match with 12 kills and 17 digs. Jenna Siddiqui had 20 assists with Angelica Kelley gathering a match high of 41 digs. Dana Yoshimura registered 22 digs and Briana Hopkins tallied 11.
MVSU (8-13, 2-5) was led on the offensive end by Chylla Nault's nine kills. Jane Peterson dished out 10 assists and collected 10 digs for a double-double performance. Alexandria Garland posted 11 digs to lead the Devilettes.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Alabama A&M University swept the season series against in-state rivals Alabama State with a 3-0 decision on Tuesday at Lockhart Gymnasium.
The Southwestern Athletic Conference eastern division match was decided with three sets going into 'extra points' in favor of AAMU (9-19, 6-2) - 29-31, 27-25, 25-21, 27-25.
After dropping the first set, the Lady Bulldogs captured the final three frames behind the offensive play of Clairissa Moore. Moore hit .538 in total attacks and tallied a double-double with match highs, 21 kills and 15 digs.
Ashley Forman had 47 assists and 11 digs. Mary Carmen-Aponte had 17 digs and Bianca Richardson chipped in 11 kills. The Lady Bulldogs totaled nine blocks finishing with a .280 total attack percentage.
ASU (7-24, 3-4) recorded 10 blocks with Chelsey Scott and Anniiya Robinson registering a double-double each. Scott posted 20 kills and 10 digs and Robinson followed with 14 kills and 11 digs. Brooke Beasley used a match high, 53 assists, to pace the Lady Hornets. Luiz Griz defended ASU's back line with a match-high of 18 digs.

HAMMOND, La. - Texas Southern University watch its five-game win streak snap with a 3-0 loss (9-25, 17-25, 11-25) in non-conference play to Southeastern Louisiana on Tuesday at University Center.
Robyn Shannon led TSU (14-13) with seven kills and Jyra Churchill had 18 assists. Churchill also led the Lady Tigers with eight digs.
SELU (11-17) was led by Courtney Donald's 11 kills. Becky Bekelja finished with 33 assists. Megan McMillin and Cherish Krohn led the Lions back end combining for 31 assists. McMillin had 20 digs and Krohn followed with 11.
