LORMAN, Miss. - Grambling State University picked up its first win of the season ending a 19-match skid with a 3-0 win over Alcorn State on Tuesday inside Whitney Gymnasium.

GSU (1-19) used a total attack percentage of .403 to pick up the sweep with set scores of 25-17, 25-16, and 25-19. The Lady Tigers also finished with 10 blocks.

Dorothy Brown led the floor with 11 kills while hitting .643 from 14 attacks. Breonna Loud tacked on 17 assists and Kierra Hogan added 10. Kayla Lewis led the back end with four digs.

ALCN (1-23) was led by Brisha Coffee and Shaquanda Hollis. Both players tallied six kills to lead the Lady Braves offense. Georgia Parsons registered 11 assists and Jaclyn Kuzniar had a match high of eight digs.

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Texas Southern used 10 blocks and recorded a .351 attack percentage to defeat Dillard University on Tuesday in Dent Hall.

TSU (13-12) moved its win streak to four matches with set scores of 25-20, 25-22, and 25-20.

Veronica Azubuike registered a hitting percentage of .714 recording 11 kills. Jyra Churchill had 29 assists and Whitney Grant led the TSU's defense with six digs.

The Bleu Devils were led by Carolyn Baker's match-high, 18 kills, and .500 hitting percentage. Astasia Williams posted 16 assists and Shelbi White chipped in 12. Destinee Higgins led the floor with 14 digs.

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff dropped a 3-1 decision to Henderson State on Tuesday inside Duke Wells Center.

UAPB (8-14) fell in non-conference play by the set scores of 14-25, 25-18, 20-25, 13-25.

Alicia Campbell spearheaded the Lady Lions with nine kills and 11 digs. Brea Clayton gathered 15 digs and Ashlie Jones finished with 12. Jordan Foyer tallied 15 assists to help pace the offense. UAPB finished with nine blocks for the match.

For the Lady Reddies (6-21), four different players notched at least 10 digs with Malorie Kelley leading the match with 18.

Lauren Ray followed with 12 digs while Cheyenne Derr and Ty Lindberg each had 10. Ray earned a double-double dishing out 35 to complement her defensive effort.

Lindberg, led the all players with 17 kills and Sarah Williams chipped in 10 while hitting .412. Jessica Moss accounted for 11 of HSU's 14 blocks.

NORMAL, Ala. - Alabama A&M University dropped a 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-20) non-conference match to Tennessee State on Tuesday inside T.M. Elmore Gymnasium.

Clairissa Moore led AAMU (8-18) with 13 kills and Ashley Forman posted 23 assists. Mariah Brown led the Lady Bulldogs with eight digs.

Naomi Wells led TSU (15-11) with a double-double recording 10 kills and 10 digs. Erika Moss guided the Tigers' attack with 34 assists and Lindsay Hornsby had 12 kills while posting a .426 hiiting percentage.
