Alabama State Bowlers Upset Top-Ranked FDU

ORMOND, Fla. – The Alabama State University bowling team highlighted its day defeating the #1 ranked team in the nation rated by NCAA.com, Fairleigh Dickinson by a total pin fall of 977-861 Saturday afternoon at the Wildcat Invitational, hosted by Bethune-Cookman.

The Lady Hornets went 3-1 on the day defeating Florida A&M by a total pin fall of 868-830 and Monmouth University by a pin fall of 897-830.

ASU took its lone lose to host team Bethune-Cookman by a pin fall of 12, 897-885. Junior Jessica Ledbetter led the charge for the Lady Hornets for over five games with a total pin fall of 938, averaging a 187.6 on the day. Junior Briana Wells followed knocking down 902 pins with an average of 180.4.

Sophomore Danielle Walker finished the day with a total pin fall of 755; while freshman Kaila Ryan round out the scoring with a total pin fall of 669.
