Ana Huertas and Zenabu Musa of Alabama A&M joined Shelby Willcocks of Mississippi Valley as top honorees this week. Offensive Player of the Week Ana Huertas Alabama A&M FR• MF • 5-4 • Moniquira, Colombia Huertas became the second consecutive Lady Bulldog to earn Offensive Player of the Week honors. She scored three goals over the weekend, two against Southern and another against Jackson State as A&M was a perfect 2-0. Huertas was very efficient as three of her four shots-on-goal scored. Anchoring the A&M midfield, Huertas is second on the team in scoring with 11 points (5 goals, 1 assist). Defender of the Week Zenabu Musa Alabama A&M SR • D • 5-8 • Accra, Ghana Musa was instrumental in the Lady Bulldogs' two wins. She anchored the defense that held opponents scoreless. As a defender, Musa not only harrassed the opposing attackers, but she also scored her first career goal in A&M's 4-0 win over Jackson State. The A&M defense only allowed 12 shots, 10 on-goal the entire weekend. Goalkeeper of the Week Shelby Willcocks Mississippi Valley JR • GK • 5-8 • West Lorne, Ontario Willcocks was stellar in goal this weekend, earning a 1-0-1 record and playing 200 minutes. She didn't allow a goal in a scoreless double-overtime game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff and repeated the performance in MVSU's 1-0 win over Grambling. Willcocks had three saves against UAPB and four vs. Grambling.
